Pre-fall is all about that 70s vibe. Everyone from the Row, J.W. Anderson, of course Chloe, Stella, and Valentino all went for the earthy tones, textured fabrics, and vintage cuts of the decade.

Warmth and texture are on full display in Chloe's pre-fall collection. The collection is set in a tone of browns, burnt oranges, creams, and mustards. The use of tweed, wool and the occasional lace just adds to the iconic French charm of the brand.

For pre-fall Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen channeled 60s and 70s surf culture in the most Olsen way possible. Instead of tropical patterns and neon colors, their nod came in the form of the fabric choice. Light materials in both dark and light colors are paired with fall knits and a summer sandal for a perfect transitional collection.

The Valentino pre-fall collection is turning out to be one of my favorites of the season. Can't you just picture going on fall holiday to the Spanish countryside in, say, 1969 or 1971 to bask in the sunlight and frolic in these gorgeous pieces? The traditional Valentino dress is so delicately embroidered with vintage inspired floral motifs. The boots are made for the flower child superwoman of everyone's dreams. With a denim jumpsuit that would make 70s Jane Birkin squeal and the most stunning red gown of the season, this collection is a perfect ten.
