Character Study: Jennifer Lawrence in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'

As ass-kicking, appearance changing mutant Raven in X-Men: Days of Future Past, Jennifer Lawrence kills that 1973 glam. (And gives major style envy!)

The year: 1973. The problem: bad guy Peter Dinklage is out to end the mutant race and start World War III. Our favorite shape-shifter Raven (aka Mystique) is out to stop him, and looking fabulous doing it.
Whether it be seducing a general, hopping on a one-way to D.C., or evading Charles Xavier she stuns in luxurious furs, rich suedes, and psychedelic patterns. The accessories (when she's wearing them, remember she's mostly naked and blue) perfectly complement with gold chokers, platform boots, and wide-brimmed hats.
Her style is part sex-pot, part flower child. What can be unanimously agreed upon is that you do not want to get in her way.

Pre-Fall Roundup: All the Best Looks

Pre-fall is all about that 70s vibe. Everyone from the Row, J.W. Anderson, of course Chloe, Stella, and Valentino all went for the earthy tones, textured fabrics, and vintage cuts of the decade.

I know that fashion is all about looking forward, but just for a second I want to take a step back to worship and praise the glory that is Rag and Bone's customizable bomber jacket.

Masculinity vs. Femininity

Suits, baseball caps, and sneakers; one could easily mistake this for a typical boy’s wardrobe. But fashion is changing. We have been taking influence from the boys for decades. In the 20s, Coco Chanel rocked Breton stripes and suit pants while the other girls pranced around in the flapper dresses of the day. Katharine Hepburn made the three-piece suit her trademark in the 1930s and 40s, turning it into a sexy woman’s staple. Yves Saint Laurent created some of the best pantsuits for women and dressed the icons of the seventies, such as, Bianca Jagger, Laura Hutton, and Charlotte Rampling. Androgyny consumed fashion in the eighties and nineties. And now in fashion, the tomboy look is the top trend.

Chanel Resort 2015

Dubai is booming, become one of the most powerful cities in the world. So it's only fitting that Karl Lagerfeld bring an extravagant Chanel runway show to the newest "It-city" on Earth. The collection was full of Middle-Eastern flavor: Islamic tile prints, red and white checked dishdasha patterns,  and intricate Indian style bead-work. Lagerfeld mashed classic Indian silhouettes with the iconic sense of Chanel. The hair and makeup were highly dramatized; with big voluminous hair, a small headpiece, and dark, dramatic, and jeweled eye makeup.

Style Icon: Brigitte Bardot

Brigitte Bardot is a true style icon. She was that perfect mix of quirk, bombshell, and class. She made every women in the 50s and 60s long to be French. She lounged on the beaches of St. Tropez in her signature ittsy-bitsy bikini, with the wind blowing through her coveted golden locks. Women to this day long for "The Bardot" look. Blonde bombshell #1. Legend till the end.
