Debby Ryan Went Platinum. And We Can't Get Enough!

credit: Kristin Ess
Disney sweetheart Debby Ryan has busted her "good girl" shell this weekend by going totally platinum. The color is a huge departure from her usual hue, an auburn sometimes coppery mix. She took the plunge while on break from filming her hit show Jessie with a little help colorist to the stars Kristin Ess. The new look is all in preparation for the release of her debut album with her band, Debby and the Never Ending. The album is set to drop June 24th featuring their latest single, "When The Dark Falls." New music. New look. New Debby.

Style Icon: Anita Pallenberg

I've decided to start a new weekly series, called "Style Icon," to showcase some of history's trailblazers in fashion and my personal idols.
So for the first post of this series, I could only think of one woman: Anita Pallenberg. Known best as the girlfriend/lover of most of the Rolling Stones, Anita took 70's London by storm. Part flower child, part rock 'n' roll, she wore embroidered shawls, printed mini-dresses, and her signature shag coat. Her style was as intoxicating as her personality. Can you see why the Stones fell in love with her? Now if only there was a way to travel back in time...

I Heart NY

I am so sorry for not posting any new content in a while. I have been quite busy working on the site and some new content that I will be unveiling very soon! Lately, I have been totally 100% in love with the model-off-duty style. It's simple and comfortable, yet edgy and cool. All things I adore! If you want to rock the look yourself there are a couple things to keep in mind.
First, keep it simple. Don't let your outfit get too fussy. The whole point is to feel comfortable, right? Stick to the basics: plain tee, your absolute favorite lived-in jeans, street savvy shoes, and some edgy outerwear. Make sure to keep you beauty routine simple, as well. A little base, some concealer, a swipe of mascara, and some lip balm is all you need for makeup. And as hair goes, go with your natural texture and wear it down or in a slicked back pony/bun.
Second, add a little edge. Pair your simple look with an leather jacket or boots to give it a rock 'n' roll vibe. Blacking out your outfit will also give the M.O.D. look some serious edge.
Lastly, keep it fun! A good model off duty look isn't supposed to be taken too seriously. Keep it easy, comfortable, and simple and just let your confidence and beauty shine through.

Lip Service

I am obsessed with a bright lip color! It gives you a break from your everyday beauty look,  without having to go for the classic red. My must have color is Fuchsia Flash 865 part of Maybelline New York's vivids collection. It is the perfect spring pink with very vivid pigments. Plus, it's soft and smooth with a hold that will last all day!
