Music Monday - Highasakite

Allow me to introduce you to Norwegian five-piece Highasakite. The band has a dream-pop vibe mixed with flavors of 60s folk, light synths, and shimmery pop. Their sound oozes with classic Norwegian folk influences. Led by the rich and dreamy vocals of Ingrid Helene Håvik, the band mixes moody and emotional lyrical stories with a soothing yet bright folk-y sound. They released their debut album, All That Floats Will Rain, in 2012. In 2013, they released their second LP, In and Out of Weeks. Their latest album, Silent Treatment, is available now.

Music Monday - Sam Smith

Sam Smith. Do you see that name? Remember it. Lock that pup down in your brain bank because this guy will be legend. Chances are you've heard Smith's insane range flood the air waves on the infectious track "La La La" with fellow Brit-hit Naughty Boy. But believe me, there is so much more. If you haven't heard of Sam think of him as Adele's musical twin spirit brother! He released his absolutely stunning Nirvana EP in October 2013. In October of the previous year Sam collaborated with British brothers Disclosure for the melodic yet dance-y tune "Latch". His highly anticipated debut LP In A Lonely Hour is due sometime this month. Until then we will just have to keep the other tracks on replay. No harm in that..

Music Monday- The 1975

If you haven't heard of the 1975, then allow me to introduce you to your new favourite band. The Manchester four-piece mix soft, melodic vocals and emotionally charged lyrics with rock 'n' roll guitar riffs and R&B flavor. Their first four EPs - Facedown, Sex, Music For Cars, and IV - put the band on the radar. But their self-titled debut album, shot them to number one on the UK charts. They've embarked on multiple tours across the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. They will be performing at Coachella in Indio, California, Sunday April 13 and 20. They also are working on new material with pop super group One Direction and Fall Out Boy. Their debut album The 1975 is available now. Check out some of their material here. Trust me, you won't be disappointed..
